September 2007 - More NHS Trusts gain from the APL treatment.
More NHS Trusts across the county are benefiting from Searchlight. APL is successfully auditing a range of NHS organisations including Primary Care, Acute and Foundation Trusts. The key to our success in the NHS is the specialist knowledge we have of this environment and the tried and tested approach we adopt with each audit.
One example of a recent find : An urgent payment to a local council was passed through the system in 2006. Then the original invoice was also passed for payment. The Trust’s own internal checks did not identify the duplication due to a slight change in the invoice number and a change in the system for recording urgent payments. Result: £100k recovered.
